dream on dreamer

There is something about being surrounded by people who dare to dream. Something about being surrounded by creative people who have big ideas. It makes me feel that my dream is not so silly or dumb. It makes me feel that if they can do it so can I. It helps me to stick it out in those dry hard times when the dream is the end of the road, and there is so much hard work still to be done to make it a reality.

I am watching good friends of mine realise their dreams. Long held, long-awaited, hard-worked for dreams. It is inspiring. It feeds my desire, my passion, and my willingness to put in the work to get my dream realised.

Often it is easy to look at someone with their great beautiful shiny dream in their hand and think “that came easy”. But when you are surrounded by a community of dreamers, you see more and more that dreams do not just fall into laps. There is so much blood, sweat, and tears around them.

Seeing their work keeps me grounded in the reality of dreaming. Seeing their sacrifices, helps me understand the cost of dreaming. And seeing those dreams finally come true, helps me understand the wealth in realising the dream.

Are you a dreamer? Surround yourself with dreamers. But not just dreamers who do nothing but dream. Surround yourself with dreamers who will do the work, and pay the price to bring their dreams to fruition.

Those people will encourage you to dream bigger and better, and cheer you on as you do the work to get it done.

I am so thankful for my community of dreamers.

Join me for the journey,

Jodie
