encouragement for the journey
Braving the Wilderness
Present Over Perfect
the ordinary everyday
They soak it up, what you say, where you focus, whether you like it or not. . My youngest set up a shop in her bedroom the other day and as we walked in we all got this little note, which she then stamped. . It made my heart melt, but was also a sobering reminder that they absorb everything.
We’ve been transitioning into school holidays over here. I am always surprised at how long it takes for my girls to adjust to the rhythm of holidays. . When the niggling of each other gets to much, I often want to retreat and my phone is an easy place to hide. . So I have put this reminder in the corner of my kitchen, to remind me that connection is always worth pushing through the attitude, the irritation, and the tiredness (not always just from the girls! 😳) . PS: while I have been attempting to disconnect, I have reached 400 Insta followers. Welcome to anyone who is new here and I hope you find encouragement for your journey.
I have this thing for bags and shoes, all the fun stuff that add to an outfit. . My sister 'made me' buy the bag on the left from @colettebycolettehayman the other day, and my favourite @typoshop writing bag is a gift from a friend a few years ago.
The beginning of an amazing journey starts today ⚡️👓❤️
Flashback to @essence.mounties on Saturday evening and the fabulous grazing table provided by the @thepicnicprovidore . There was no way I could get the full scale in my photo, so here is just a small selection. Yum!
“Lord I believe, help my unbelief” . This has to be one of my favourite sentences in the bible. . The way these simple words show the heart of the speaker. . This simple statement highlights the tension we live in; that of wanting to trust, but finding it hard to do without help. . This simple sentence shows our desire for control. And our need for surrender. . May it too be the cry of my heart today.
